Cat fleas are the most common type of flea in the home they grow up to 3mm in length.
How to tell if you have fleas in your home:
- Small dark insects jumping around on furniture, animals or bedding
- Bites are raised and often itchy bumps on ankles and lower body
- Pets - excessive scratching or discomfort of your pet
Treatment of fleas
Preparations before treatment
Clear and clean floors and soft furnishing especially areas where your pets go such as under beds and behind sofas. Treat any pets for fleas following the advice of your vet. We don’t recommend treatments bought in shops.
What we will do during the treatment
Infected areas will be treated with spray and mist insecticides.
After flea treatment
Don’t enter the sprayed rooms for at least 5 to 6 hours or vacuum the rooms for 21 days after treatment.
We will give you a report of the work we have done with guidance and advice on what you need to do after the treatment.
